Taylor Swift Has Released Film of 1989 Tour with Apple Music

Well it may have been Taylor Swift's 26th birthday on Sunday, but it seems that she is the one giving the big gifts—and just in time for Christmas.

On Sunday, Swift and Apple Music announced via social media that fans will get behind-the-scenes access to her blockbuster 1989 tour with a concert video. She released a trailer for the film, The 1989 World Tour Live, with the caption, "Thank you so much for all the birthday wishes. I have a little surprise for you."

Apple Music also shared the news.

Swift fans will have to sign up for Apple Music to have access to the video which will be released in its entirety on Dec. 20, she announced on her web site. If you don't have an Apple account, fans can sign up for a free three-month trial on Apple's site. She added that they can stream her full catalog of albums on the Apple site, as well.

The video will undoubtedly be in high demand as the international tour made more than $240 million in ticket sales and had more than 75 celebrity guests, including Justin Timberlake, Selena Gomez, Julia Roberts, Gigi Hadid, Kendall Jenner, Lorde, The Weeknd, Lena Dunham, and Jason Derulo. The 1989 tour wrapped up in Melbourne, Australia, this past Saturday.

The deal with Apple is especially interesting given that earlier this year Swift criticized the company in an open letter for not paying artists during their free three-month trials. Her motion convinced Apple to reverse its set up.

Apple is now exclusively streaming all of Swift's music. She will also be appearing on Apple's Beats 1 radio station on Monday.
