Cristiano Ronaldo, the five-time winner of the Ballon d’Or, experienced bleeding from the nose yesterday while playing for Portugal against Czech Republic in the UEFA Nations League. Everyone was horrified to learn that their favourite player was bleeding on the field.

The injury for Ronaldo happened within the first 12 minutes when the Czech Republic goalkeeper Tomas Vaclik tried to get the ball high. The goalkeeper tried to push the ball away from the penalty area when he collided with Ronaldo by the elbow. Ronaldo was seen falling very badly to the floor and bleeding vigorously.
The medical team from Portugal arrived right away to perform treatments after the rescue. Everyone was concerned for Ronaldo since a significant volume of blood was spilled. Many others were also concerned about whether he would recover in time for the 2022 World Cup and whether he could play the upcoming games. The star will, however, soon recover.
